Its been a long time and i wanted to draw a small cartoon that has all the members of our engineering team @ Komli. So on Friday night 6th June 2007 at about 11.30 pm i drew some stuff on the white board and Mukul clicked a snap of it and here it is, Yo Komli Team, we rock :)

Installing RHEL 4 Update 5 on Assembled Intel core2 duo

The installation of RHEL4 update 5 hangs during installation process while trying to probe devices. To get out of this problem while installation use the following command line:

linux pci=nommconf all-generic-ide

or

linux pci=conf1 all-generic-ide

Once the installation is complete do not forget to modify grub.conf, else it wont boot up.
Modify grub.conf file to pass "pci=nommconf" as additional parameter to kernel.
Example:

title Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES (2.6.9-55.ELsmp)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-55.ELsmp ro root=LABEL=/1 rhgb quiet pci=nommconf

Forum Nokia Reaches Out To Universities

Forum Nokia for Universities is a new section on the Forum Nokia public Web site designed to provide support and information for university faculty and students who are developing mobile applications on Nokia platforms. Sony Ericsson P1 unveiled

The new Sony Ericsson P1 is a slim, UMTS smartphone with a rich feature list including WiFi, VoIP support and a 3.2 Megapixel camera, and expands the number of Sony Ericsson phones based on Symbian OS v9.1 and UIQ 3.0 to four. The P1 smartphone offers opportunities for C++ and Java ME developers, with both Java CDC and CLDC environments supported. Gaming is boosted with hardware accelerated 3D graphics, supported natively (C++) and by JSR 184. Checkout P1 specs
